The Genius Club

More on this later, but for now, just know this: the new Malcolm Gladwell article in The New Yorker is about a group of geniuses who get together and think of new ideas to make the world better. Well, half of it is about that, and the other half sort of fits in and sort of doesn't. Cool without coherence, that's MG all over.

dear mr. schrift:
i host a radio cycling show kxno and kxno.com, sunday evenings. lately, we have been engaging in a discussion of whether or not cars have a right to be on the roads.

actually, it has been about whether or not governmental bodies can and/or should enact restricted ordinances requiring cyclists to obtain a permit to ride in groups larger than 2o cyclists, for example.

the trouble is that no one has been willing to speak up with your perspective.

would you be willing to come on my show and discuss with me the issues you outline in yesterday's post, about the frustrations of cyclists in phillie?

you can reach me at:
eeastonwest@aol.com, or at
kimwest@kxno.com.

you can learn more about the show at the station's website at kxno.com, and then click on "weekends" and then click on kim west cycling.

we have a toll-free number that you could use. the show airs live sundays at 600 pm, CENTRAL time.

thanks for considering. i can assure you a full opportunity to air your grievances.
